Abstract: | This dissertation deals with the conservation of an electrical kitchen appliance and its accessories. The appliance HM/KA1/220, also known as Neuzeit I, was manufactured between 1951 and 1968 by Robert Bosch GmbH, Stuttgart. During this time the technical design was changed numerous times. The subject of this dissertation is model HM/KA1/220D, manufactured in 1957. For the first time several parts were made of synthetics. Technical documentation and examination of various materials used in this model form the basis for the subsequent conservation. The appliance is powered by an electric motor of the type universal motor. This type of motor is one of the most important fractional horsepower motors. The description of general features and functions attempts to convey a technical insight from conservation point-of-view. Problems regarding conservation and possible solutions are discussed. |
