Overview:

Abstract: During the work a structural consolidation of the locally obstructed Loderslebener silicate brick with different mediums of consolidation was attempted. The methods used for strengthening were a polyurethane resin, an epoxy resin, a silicon resin, an acrylic resin and an elastic silicon dioxide ester. For the consolidation, artificially weathering test pieces with a different preservation state were set up. These were consolidated in connection with the described setting lotions in different concentrations. In addition, the application ability was examined on larger rock blocks. With the help of non-destructive and destructive investigation methods, the respective success of the consolidation was checked and evaluated. Conclusion, it can be stated that no one can be recommended to use the employed mediums of consolidation without limitation.
