Abstract: | This thesis with the title ´´Wallpaper fragments with Chinese origin from the Deutsches Tapetenmuseum Kassel – restauration studies and considerations about presentation in the museum´´ is structured in six capitals. The paper fragments are painted with landscape and residential scenes. They come from a large wallpaper with several tracks. The corresponding fotos are located at the end of the capital. The first four capitals comprise historical, scientific and paint-technical studies, which help the understanding and grasping about the fragments. They are essential for the decision of the concept; the fifth capital describes the concept for the conservation and restauration, and the ways to carry out; in the last capital, the possible methods for the further storage and the presentation in the museum are introduced. The studies explain the condition of the objekts and provide a theoretical basis for the concept of further restoration and long-term preservation. The options for presentation in museum in the last part, shown in graphics and descriptions, are demonstrations of suggestions for the museum. |
