Zusammenfassung: | This work begins with a presentation of the theoretical foundations of historic textiles that are damaged by glue, based on native and modified starch. After that, a detailed description is going to demonstrate the removal of starch layers by using N-methyl 2 pyrrolidon as well as enzymes. In the following step, the organic solvent NM2P and the ezymatic hydrolysis of amylases will be further explained. For that purpose, a ready-to-use amylasis-compress (Albertina-Kompresse A®), as well as a specially manufactered compress-system are used. Here, a matrix of activated carbon serves a carrier material. Finally, this work is going to evaluate and compare the different methods. |
