Zusammenfassung: | The intention of a restorer is to work to the highest possible standards. This also includes the used materials. This bachelor thesis deals with the suitabilty of gelatine as an alternative to hide and bone glue for wood bonding in conservation and restoration. At the beginning, gelatine, hide glue and bone glue are discussed with regards to the production, the properties and the use. Furthermore, important technical terms of adhesive technology are defined and the procedure of the test series concerning the adhesive strength of the three adhesives is explained. The evaluation comprises the comparism and a discussion of the results as well as optimization suggestions for following test series. |
