Zusammenfassung: | This master dissertation is focused on creating and executing a conservation and restoration concept for a black forest shield clock. The conservation concept includes the consolidation und the cleaning of the clock. The restoration concept is also amongst other thinks about treating the colour structure of the shield. It is also about replacing the lost parts to enable the function of the clock. Therefore, timely made Clocks will be compared, to get an orientation for the shape of the missing parts. Therefore, some knowledge from the watchmaking is brought to use too. Farther technological extermination will be made to get some information about the used materials and working techniques. This happens amongst other thinks with optical tools like UV-, infrared radiation and a microscope. Cross sections and histochemical colouring methods are made. These will be compared with information from literature. The present clock is brought in the cultural-historical context and dated too. |
