Zusammenfassung: This thesis deals with the detection and description of the condition of a mechanical clock in form of a Minerva sculpture, armed with a pistol, at the Astronomy and Physics Cabinet of the Museum Hessen -Kassel. The clock was built in the first half of the 18th century. Through technological analysis, conclusions on the design and the engineering could be drawn. Due to the upheavals of the Second World War, the statue presents itself nowadays in a damaged condition. Both arms, the helmet as well as other parts are preserved only fragmentarily, while 50% of the paint layers are still in existence. A technical examination of the layers revealed two different white layers, as well as a second gold plating. In this report an attempt of a possible reconstruction of the functionality of the machine is presented and displayed in the form of a drawing .This was particularly difficult because most of the automatic mechanism is missing completely. As a last step, important images of the damage on the colour layers and the plastic sculpture have been recorded as part of the description of the condition.
