Zusammenfassung: | This bachelor thesis is about the Römhilder casket (stock number: V 4530 L) of the museum for town history and pipes in Ruhla. There probably remain about 23 of these caskets all over Germany Below that from Ruhla will be introduced technologically and art-historically, whereof conservational and restorational thoughts will follow together with the beforehand given condition-analysis. The objective of conservation and restoration will be presented in a debate due to the fact that the materials alabaster, forged ferric, marbled paper and comprised wood are aligning with each other. Based on some known reference-objects as well as the design of the casket the origin is allocated to the age of the renaissance. As a remarkable designing tool the contrast between ebonised wood and alabaster had been used. |
