Zusammenfassung: | Within the scope of a running DBU conveyor project to the preservation of Goslar clay slate different investigations and attempts were already undertaken to the consolidation. It was found out that good consolidation results can be achieved with low-viscosity epoxy resin mixtures. Nevertheless, it still must be calculated in long term on the fact that it can come with preserved slate slabs under free weathering because of the high thermal expansion and the high E-module of the epoxy resins to tensions in the structure and with it to a preservative-conditioned damage. Before this background originated the idea to develop a consolidation means on the base of acrylic monomers as an alternative to the epoxy resins which shows lower deformation resistance. For this purpose, a first test phase was carried out to the production of homo- and copolymers from three acrylic monomers Methylmethacrylat, Butylacrylat and Hydroxyethylmethacrylat and to their applicability on the slate. |
