Zusammenfassung: | This Thesis deals with the construction-physical effects of wall-tempering carried out in accordance with guidelines of the Bavarian Museum Service of the Bavarian State Conservation Office; also known as Großeschmidt tempering. Further to literature assessment, this thesis presents the damage-free research of different architectural object surfaces. The focal points are the temperature distribution on the surface, the corresponding impact on the microbial growth and harmful salts. The methods used are Infrared Thermography, microbiological specimen examination, salt analysis, as well as monitoring the surfaces. The research results display that the tempering method makes it possible to avoid heat bridges in the direct surrounding of heating pipes. As from a distance of approximately 30-40 cm (depending on the heating temperature) an effect on the surface temperature can no longer be proven. Furthermore, a related reduction of microbial activity could not be detected. The results indicate an increased harmful salt formation. Due to the variety of influencing factors, a sound evaluation of the tempering method and principles require a more comprehensive and longtermed research. A special chapter presents suggestions for investigation approaches and concrete analyses. |
