Zusammenfassung: | In 2009, a stained glass window has been saved at archeological excavations at Burg Siersberg / Germany. The very bad condition of the partially painted glass fragments results in a series of questions relative to the possibilities of the conservation and restoration treatment of the object. These questions are followed by within the scope of the present paper. Extensive examinations are carried out for the rest and the condition of the stained glass and these are corroborated by scientific analyses like REM, EDX, 3D‐computed tomography and computed laminographie. Proceeding from these examinations, it results a conception for the measures taken for safeguarding and conservation of the stained glass fragment. The gained information of the present remnant afford a short insight into the artistic design of the stained glass of the Burg Siersberg. |
