On request, the HAWK as a family-oriented university provides nursery by student employees with educational experience.
Arriving by car
Hildesheim is situated directly at the freeway A 7. Coming from the south, please take the exit Hildesheim – No. 62 (coming from the north, you have to pass first exit “Hildesheim-Drispenstedt No. 61) and follow the main road B1 to the centre of Hildesheim.
Arriving by rail
Hildesheim railway station is stop of Germany's high speed train “ICE”. The HAWK is within 5 minutes walking distance from Eastern railway station ("Hildesheim Ostbahnhof").

Arriving by plane
The airport Hannover is about 50 km away, but very small and there is no direct train connection to Hildesheim, you usually have to change train once: about 70 minutes, about 12,00 €). With shuttle service it is 45 minutes, 55,00 € (please book in advance, www.fthaj.de, Tel.: +49 (0) 511 9772240), with taxi 45 minutes, approx. 80,00 €),
From abroad it is usually much more advisable and convenient to fly to Frankfurt or Berlin and from there take the ICE directly to Hildesheim. Early bookers save at Deutsche Bahn a great deal of money.
Frankfurt: Journey time from Frankfurt airport station approx. three hours, costs for return journey: between approx. 110,- Euro (early booking) and 180,- Euro (flex price). Berlin: Travel time from Berlin main station approx. two hours, costs for return journey: between 80,- Euro (early booking) and 150,- Euro (flex price).
Accomodation
We have booked a limited contingent of rooms with a special rate. This contingent is availabe until 13 March 2020 at Hotel "Ibis Styles", Zingel 26, 31134 Hildesheim (located in the city center).
The rate is expected to be 66,34 € single room/81,34 € double room, including breakfast, W-Lan, Sky TV and calls into German fixed network.(The rate may vary +/- 5 % from the price stated here, as prices for 2020 have not yet been finally negotiated)

Sightseeing
We recommend a visit of the both UNESCO world cultural heritage churches St Michael's Church and St Mary's Cathedral with Dommuseum and its medieval cathedral treasure. The Roemer- und Pelizaeus-Museum is known worldwide for its important collection of ancient Egypt and for its special exhibitions.

The number of participants is limited. Registrations are considered in the order of receipt of payment. Please note that the registration will only be validated after successful transfer of the conference fee. Receipt of payment will not be confirmed separately.

Cancellation should be made in written form by e-mail to service@hornemann-institut.de. They are free of charge until 14 days before the start of the conference. Please understand that in case of later cancellation, the full conference fee has to be paid. However, you are welcome to name a substitute.
