Arriving by car
Hildesheim is situated directly at the freeway A 7. Coming from the south please take the exit Hildesheim – No. 62 (coming from the north, you must first pass exit “Hildesheim-Drispenstedt No. 61) and follow the main road B1 to the centre of Hildesheim.
There are parking facilties behind the buildings Hohnsen 1 und Hohnsen 2 (driveway Wiesenstraße). There are also parking facilities along the street Hohnsen 2.

Arriving by rail
Hildesheim rail station is stop of Germany's high speed train “ICE” with connection to all major cities in Germany.
From central rail station you get with bus No. 3 to the bus stop "Goschentor".

Arriving by plane
Hannover-Langenhagen airport is about 40 km north of Hildesheim. From Hannover Airport you can get to Hildesheim by Taxi (45 minutes, about 60 €), by Shuttle Service 42 € (advance booking necessary, Tel.: +49 (0) 511 9772240) or by public transportion (rail, tram and bus) c. 60 minutes, 9,10 €

We recommend a visit of the Roemer- und Pelizaeus-Museum with its newly arranged Egyptian collection. The Cathedral and the Cathedral Museum were closed till 2014 for renovation work.
